MultiCars Direct uses cookies and similar technologies to run our website, remember choices, support features you use and make the experience work smoothly.
Some technologies are required for the website or a service you ask us to provide. Others support optional features or help us understand how the service is performing.
This notice explains what we use, why we use it and the choices available to you.
1.Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser, but websites can also remember or access information in other ways.
For example, we may use browser storage, session storage, scripts and similar technologies.
We refer to these collectively as cookies and similar technologies in this notice.
2.Your choices
You can review or change your choices at any time using Privacy choices in the footer of the website.
We group the technologies we use according to what they do.
Required
These technologies help us operate and secure MultiCars Direct and provide features or services you ask us to use.
They may be used to:
- keep the website secure and available;
- remember your privacy choices;
- remember vehicles you choose to save;
- preserve relevant search or navigation state;
- keep you signed in where applicable; and
- provide and continue a YourRoad experience once you choose to use it.
Required technologies cannot always be switched off through our privacy controls because the relevant feature or service may not work properly without them.
You can still block or delete website data using your browser settings, although some parts of MultiCars Direct may then stop working as expected.
YourRoad experience
YourRoad can stay ready while you browse eligible vehicles, helping features such as Check My Budget and See My True Cost open quickly and allowing your YourRoad experience to continue smoothly.
We may use limited browser and service information for this purpose.
You can turn YourRoad experience off at any time. This will not stop you from using YourRoad, although it may take a little longer to open when you choose to use it.
Once you actively use YourRoad, technologies needed to provide, secure and continue the service you requested may still be used as Required technologies.
YourRoad experience is separate from optional browsing preferences, analytics and marketing. Your choices in those areas do not determine whether you can use YourRoad.
Preferences
With your permission, we can remember optional browsing preferences to make MultiCars Direct more convenient to use.
For example, this may allow us to remember vehicles you have recently viewed and help you continue where you left off.
Turning Preferences off does not affect vehicles you deliberately add to your shortlist or your ability to use YourRoad.
Service analytics
We use limited analytics to understand overall use and performance of MultiCars Direct.
This can include information such as:
- visits to pages;
- device and browser types;
- traffic sources;
- general site performance; and
- how features are being used overall.
We use this information to understand how the service is performing and where it can be improved.
We do not use these service analytics to build advertising profiles about you.
You can manage this use through Privacy choices.
Marketing
We do not currently use optional advertising or retargeting technologies on MultiCars Direct.
If we introduce these in future, they will be kept separate from the core MultiCars Direct and YourRoad experience and will only be used in accordance with the choices available to you.
Using YourRoad will not itself be treated as permission for advertising or marketing tracking.
3.Technologies we currently use
We keep this list focused on technologies that are actually used to provide MultiCars Direct and its current features.

We periodically review the technologies used on MultiCars Direct and update this notice where needed.
4.Service providers
We use third-party service providers where needed to host, secure and operate MultiCars Direct.
These currently include:
Cloudflare
Helps with website delivery, security and protection against malicious or automated traffic.
Lovable
Provides part of the website hosting and service infrastructure used to operate MultiCars Direct. Limited technical and usage information may also be processed as part of providing and monitoring that service.
We provide more information about how personal information may be processed by service providers in our Privacy Notice.
Where we introduce another provider that materially changes how cookies or similar technologies are used, we will update this notice and the relevant privacy controls.
5.Changing your choices
You can reopen Privacy choices at any time from the footer of the website.
Depending on the technology, you may be able to:
- turn the background YourRoad experience on or off;
- enable or disable optional Preferences;
- manage service analytics; and
- return to Required technologies only.
Changing an optional choice does not prevent you from continuing to use the core MultiCars Direct service.
Where you switch off an optional use, we will stop using the relevant technologies going forward and remove information stored in your browser where appropriate and within our control.
You can also delete cookies and website data through your browser settings.
6.YourRoad and your privacy choices
YourRoad is designed to remain available as you shop.
Your privacy choices do not determine whether you are allowed to use YourRoad.
In particular:
- turning off YourRoad experience means YourRoad may take a little longer to open, not that it becomes unavailable;
- turning off Preferences does not affect YourRoad;
- changing your Service analytics choice does not affect YourRoad; and
- future Marketing choices will not affect YourRoad.
Where you have actively started using YourRoad, we may continue to use technologies that are needed to provide, secure or resume the service you requested.

7.Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to view, delete or block cookies and other website data.
Blocking technologies through your browser may affect some features of MultiCars Direct or YourRoad because the browser may prevent information needed for a requested feature from being stored or accessed.
Your browser’s help or settings pages will explain the controls available to you.
8.Updates to this notice
The technologies used by MultiCars Direct may change as the service develops.
We will review this notice when relevant technologies, providers, purposes or retention periods change.
If we introduce new optional analytics, personalisation or marketing technologies, we will also make sure the relevant privacy choices are available before or when those technologies are used.
The date at the top of this page shows when this notice was last updated.
